Is it time for a website redesign in Norfolk?
Yes, if your website makes it harder for customers to understand what you do, find your phone number or send an enquiry. A website redesign replaces the design, layout and often the wording of an existing site, so it does its job properly again. Wright Tech does this for Norfolk businesses at a fixed price, agreed before work starts.
If you are thinking "my website looks outdated", start with what customers need to do on the site. Appearance matters, but a broken form or a confusing menu costs you more enquiries than an old colour scheme.
The signs we see most often:
- Not mobile friendlyText you have to pinch and zoom, buttons that are hard to tap, menus that overlap.
- Slow pagesLarge images or old code that make visitors wait.
- Out of dateServices, prices, photos or contact details that no longer match your business.
- Buried informationThe thing people ring about is several clicks deep.
- Not showing on GoogleYour site is hard to find, or does not appear at all.
Not every problem needs a full rebuild. Tell us what is frustrating you and send your current website address, and we will say honestly what needs replacing and what can stay.
If you do not have a website yet, our small business web design service is the better starting point. For a longer checklist, read 7 signs your business website needs a redesign.

What you keep when we redesign
A redesign does not mean starting from nothing. First, we look at what already works: your branding, helpful service pages, strong project photos and any pages customers reach through search.
Your domain is your website address, such as yourbusiness.co.uk. You can usually keep it, but we need to know who controls the registration and whether your email runs through it before we plan any changes.
Existing page addresses matter too. If an address changes, a redirect sends visitors from the old page to its replacement, which avoids broken links. However, nobody can honestly guarantee that Google rankings will stay exactly the same after a redesign.
If you have search reports, share them, and flag the pages that bring in enquiries. Then we can decide what to keep, update or combine before the structure changes.
Problems a redesign can fix
Each of these has a different cause, so each needs a different fix. We check which one you actually have before quoting.
A site that looks outdated
Fresh layout, clearer wording and current photos, so first impressions match the business you run today.
A site that is not mobile friendly
Readable text, easy menus and enquiry forms that work with a thumb, because most visitors arrive on a phone.
A site that loads slowly
Oversized images and old code are the usual causes. We rebuild pages so they open quickly.
A site not showing on Google
First we check whether Google can reach your pages, then fix titles, structure and content where that is the cause.
A site that hides your contact details
Your phone number, call button and enquiry form sit where visitors look for them.
A site you cannot update
If you want to change text or photos yourself, tell us. We agree how updates will work before launch.

Website redesign starts with your current site
We identify the pages, content and customer journeys that need attention before planning a replacement.
Your website redesign, step by step
We start with your current website and what needs to change, then agree one fixed price for the work discussed. You are not committing to an open-ended rebuild.
Review the current website
Send your website address, the problems you have noticed and what you want visitors to do. Also tell us who manages your domain, website access and business email.
Agree the scope and price
We discuss the pages, content and functions you need. Before work starts, you get a fixed price, a clear list of what is and is not included, and the proposed timing.
Review the replacement
You check the new pages against your business details and real customer tasks, such as finding a service, reading about a project or reaching the enquiry form. Changes are made before launch.
Launch and look after it
We confirm launch arrangements, important page addresses and access, then switch over. We also agree any hosting, maintenance or support you want afterwards.
What affects website redesign costs in Norfolk?
The cost depends on the work involved, not simply how old your site is. Once the requirements are clear, Wright Tech gives you a fixed price for your redesign, so there are no surprises later.
The main factors are:
- How many pages need rebuilding or rewriting.
- Whether your existing text and photographs are ready to reuse.
- Forms, product catalogues or other functions you need.
- The condition of the current site and the access available.
- Changes to page addresses and launch arrangements.
Ask what happens after launch as well. Hosting, domain renewal and future updates should be agreed separately, so you know exactly what the quote covers. For general pricing guidance, see how much a website costs and our website FAQs.

Steven has built my website and wow it looks amazing. He was very helpful from start to finish and kept me well in the loop with everything. Anything I wanted changing or updating he absolutely done no questions asked would highly recommend him to anyone.
I've recently used Steve at Wright Technology to create my website and help with SEO and links such as Calendly, Outlook, /google Reviews and uploading accrediting logo's etc as this was beyond my skills set. Steve listened to what I wanted; the overall look and feel, colours branding, and what I wanted my visitors to experience when they landed on it. He then created the first draft very quickly and was so patien…
Steven has been really patient and helpful in organising my website at a very competitive price. I highly recommend his services, especially for start up businesses. Thanks Steven.
Steven was great to deal with. Not only has he done a fantastic job with my new website, he has done everything I asked for. Nothing was too much. He is very friendly and easy to work with.

Website redesign Norfolk questions answered
Practical points to settle before you replace your website.
What is a website redesign?
It is a rebuild of an existing website's design, layout and often its wording, so it looks current, works on phones and makes it easy for customers to contact you. A new website starts from nothing, whereas a redesign begins with what you already have.
Can you help if my website is not mobile friendly?
Yes. A redesign can fix small text, awkward menus and enquiry forms that are hard to use on a phone. Send us the pages causing problems and we will discuss what needs changing, rather than assuming every page needs replacing.
Will a redesign fix a website not showing on Google?
Not automatically. A site can be missing from Google for several reasons, including indexing settings and technical faults. We would first check whether Google can reach your current pages, because a visibility problem and a design problem need different work.
Can I keep my website address and email?
Usually, yes. Your email may rely on settings connected to the same domain, so tell us who manages both before any changeover. Do not cancel your old arrangements until we have confirmed what depends on them.
How much does a website redesign in Norfolk cost?
It depends on the number of pages, the content you already have and any extra functions. We agree a fixed price before work starts, and it covers the scope we have discussed. Read our guide on how much a website costs for more detail.
How long will my website redesign take?
That depends on the pages, functions, content and access to your current services. We give you a proposed schedule when we define the work. If you have a launch deadline, mention it in your enquiry so we can plan around it.
Will my existing Google rankings stay the same?
Nobody can guarantee that. Keeping useful content and redirecting changed page addresses reduces avoidable disruption, but positions can still move after a redesign. Any search data you have helps us protect the pages that matter.
Do you work with businesses outside Great Yarmouth?
Yes. We are based in Great Yarmouth and work with businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk, including website redesign in Norwich. More questions are answered on our FAQs page.
